BORO PATCHWORK WITH DIANE SCHNECK
Boro is a traditional Japanese mending technique using fabric scraps and very easy hand embroidery stitches. Everyone will create and stitch their own Boro square. The finished piece can be used as a small table mat, a patch to decorate a garment or a little pillow.

Diane Rode Schneck is a New York City–based textile artist and quilter whose work is rooted in a family tradition of quilting and needlework spanning generations. Largely self-taught, she has been quilting since 1974 and is known for her hand appliqué, embroidery, and mixed-media fiber art, while also teaching quilting throughout New York City for decades.
